1st CRCA race of the season, 3-10-07

Nancy, Andrea, Liz and I decided to race the club's first race. There was no women's field, so we decided to race the the men's B field. This was my first time racing with the men, so I was nervous. I didn't want to get dropped after waking up at 4:30am and riding in the cold and dark to the park! The 4 of us did great. We all managed to hang on and at the end I went with all of the excelerations and was able to provide a steady wheel for Nancy. I led her out and she zoomed by. We averaged 23mph in this first park race of the season. I believe Nancy and I finished in the top 1/3 or 1/2. Of course the 4 of us went for coffee after....it wouldn't be a park race if we didn't.
