CRCA Race- Central Park April 5, 2008

Another dark, wet morning in Central Park.

Ashley, Maggie and I represented Radical Media. We were constantly up front controlling the pace, attacking, counter-attacking. It was great since the 3 of seemed to have each others backs at all times and didn't even have to speak about who would cover what/when. We all just did our part when we could and it was perfect.

On the last lap Maggie got in a break with 3 others. Ashley and I quickly moved to the front to control the pace so their gap would increased. It worked!

The last 1/4 lap Ashley and I decided she would let me sit on her wheel to the carousal where I would attack and hopefully drop the field. When we got there it seemed obvious what we were setting up (plus, I was tired). So I had Ashley jump on my wheel. Then I went hard on Cat's Paw. I went a bit early, but no one caught me. Won the field sprint for 5th place since 4 girls were up the road. Good practice though. :)

Maggie outsprinted the 3 ladies in her break. I knew she would. She is on fire! So, 3 top ten spots for Radical. 1st, 5th and 7th!
